My drill chuck protection just broke. I modeled and 3d printed the broken part.
You have 2 possibilities to assemble it:
- Take the spindle apart
or
- Print the protection in 2 parts and assemble them around the spindle.
I went for the second solution.
I published the 2 STEP files (part 1 and part 2). You can "fusion" them if you want to print just one part.
Anyway, you do this repair at your own risk.
You need a couple of M3 and one M4 screws. Adjust the lengths accordingly.
Note: to take the protection apart, I had to cut the M4 head screw with a "dremel". The manufacturer glued screw and nut together with loctite.
Filament: PET-G or PLA, no supports. I used PET-G.
Some picts of before and after.

Happy drilling
